If you film explicit content and upload it to ManyVids — even custom clips for a single buyer, even content you shoot in your own home with no other performer — you are the primary producer under 18 U.S.C. § 2257. Why "ManyVids Verified My ID" Isn't Enough

Government-issued photo ID for every performer (including yourself), verified at production
Cross-reference index — searchable by legal name, alias, screen name, content title; every screen name you've ever sold under goes in
Custodian of Records at a physical address during business hours
2257 statement on every page or piece of content
7+ years retention under 28 CFR 75.5

For collab clips (anyone else in the scene), add a signed model release per performer per scene — required by AN 5196 and VIRP.

Clip Sites and the COR Problem

The Custodian requirement is the friction point for ManyVids sellers specifically. Federal regulations require a physical address available during business hours — the same address that goes on every 2257 statement attached to every clip you sell.
