Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 7, 2026

1. Introduction

Easy2257 ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our 2257 compliance management service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Name and email address
  • Payment information (processed securely through Stripe)
  • Account credentials
  • Business information for 2257 compliance records

2.2 2257 Compliance Data

As a 2257 compliance service, we store and manage:

  • Performer identification documents (government-issued photo ID images)
  • Age verification records, including performer legal names and dates of birth
  • Signed model releases, consent documents, and attestations
  • Depiction media (copies of the content the records document), stored as part of the federal record
  • Record keeper information
  • Content production dates and locations

2.3 Identity Verification and Biometric Data

Identity verification on Easy2257 includes automated comparison of the photo on a government-issued ID with a live selfie (facial geometry comparison). This processing is performed on our behalf by Veriff (document authentication, face matching, and liveness detection) and, on some workflows, AWS Rekognition (face comparison and document text extraction). Verification results, extracted document data, and the associated images are retained as part of the federal 2257 record. We collect this data only to verify identity and age as the law and card-network rules require; it is never used for advertising and never sold.

2.4 Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with our service, including:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Pages visited and features used
  • Date and time of access
  • Device information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain our 2257 compliance service
  • Process your transactions and manage your account
  • Send you technical notices and support messages
  • Respond to your requests and provide customer support
  • Comply with legal obligations, including 18 U.S.C. § 2257 requirements
  • Detect and prevent fraud or security issues
  • Improve and optimize our service

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Secure authentication mechanisms
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Restricted access to personal information
  • Compliance with data protection regulations

Given the sensitive nature of 2257 compliance records, we employ enhanced security measures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your data, including application-level encryption of sensitive personal fields (identification numbers and dates of birth) on top of storage encryption, and SHA-256 integrity hashing of every stored record.

Breach notification: If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify affected users without undue delay after becoming aware of it, and will comply with applicable breach notification laws.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to comply with legal process, including 18 U.S.C. § 2257 inspections
  • Service Providers: With third-party service providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Veriff (identity verification, including facial comparison), Amazon Web Services (cloud storage, email delivery, and face comparison via Rekognition), and Google (reCAPTCHA abuse prevention, and Google Analytics / Google Ads on our public marketing pages only — never on the portals where identity documents are handled)
  • Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of assets, or acquisition
  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share your information

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide our services to you
  • Comply with legal obligations, including 2257 record-keeping requirements (minimum 7 years)
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

Deleting a compliance record inside its retention window removes it from your working records but does not destroy it: the record is retained in custody for the remainder of the 7-year window, then permanently deleted on our scheduled purge. Records you never delete are kept for as long as your account holds them. Cancelling your subscription does not delete your records.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request access to your personal information
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Objection: Object to certain processing of your data

Note: Due to legal requirements under 18 U.S.C. § 2257, we may be obligated to retain certain records and cannot delete them upon request.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and, on our public marketing pages, analytics and advertising measurement via Google Analytics and Google Ads. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner; declining keeps them off, and until a choice is made they default to off (Google Consent Mode). Google reCAPTCHA runs on our forms to prevent abuse. Marketing trackers are deliberately excluded from the token-authenticated portals where identity documents are submitted. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
